Cropwell, A Bedroom Community Adjacent to Pell City
I will have to brag a little bit having grown up in this area in my
younger years. Cropwell is a bedroom
community of Pell City, AL and is also known as Coosa, Coosa Valley, or Old
Easonville. I have found memories of
growing up on Logan Martin Lake, playing football on the Sod Farm, and
attending church at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
To say the people of this community were and are nice is big understatement. This is where I grew up with great friends
and their parents who were like second moms and dads positively mentoring and
even gently discipline, too.
In 1837, Cropwell received its first post office. Originally it was unincorporated, but has since been incorporated into Pell City, AL, City limits. AL state route 34 fronts the north and US Hwy 231 to the center and south of it. This is where you will find some of the best property on Logan Martin Lake with great resale and very high desirability. If one can afford this area, I would highly suggest looking at the properties in this location. Due south of here is where the City Limits of Vincent start at Logan Martin Dam Road. Also, some of the best campgrounds, eateries, and marinas are located in this area, too.
